What do mindfulness, medical marijuana, vitamin D supplements, and probiotics have in common?
A raging army of supporters.
A host of testimonials and sworn affidavits.
And a nearly complete absence of hard data to show that any of them work better than placebos for the myriad conditions they are so highly recommended for.
So maybe they will all pan out eventually and be the near-miracles they are touted to be.
Or maybe just one or two will.
But somehow I doubt it.
For now, I am waiting patiently for good studies to back any of these therapies before I endorse them to my viewers and readers (although I have to add that a man in his seventies can’t promise to be patient too long).
