If you were paying attention to medical headlines last week, you would have noticed that nearly every news source that carries medical stories had at least one item with a headline such as “Watch out for ‘feather duvet lung’ caution doctors” (this one was from the Medical Express web site).
Or “Your Duvet Could Be Killing You! What Folks Need to Know” (SFGate).
And many more.
What those headlines failed to point out – they want you to read the story after all cuz eyeballs is everything – is that this was a case report of a single case of a man allergic to his feather duvet.
One case – multiple headlines, all meant to scare you into thinking this condition is a thing.
In the scheme of things to worry about, this should be about as low on your list as it gets.
