Why my grandkids love tofu: It’s in my genes (not!)

According to a new study published in the journal, Nature Human Behaviour, Japanese researchers have found genes related to “variations in specific dietary habits”, which means that what you eat may be based at least in part on what your genes led you to eat.

More specifically, these genes were linked to a higher chance that, given your choice, you would choose eating and drinking foods like meat, tofu, cheese, tea, and coffee.

Which explains a lot for my family.

I love coffee, and my grandkids, god bless em, actually choose tofu over meat, so clearly my genes were not perfectly transmitted over generations.
