If you have a pet duck, you’re in luck

Because it won’t catch SARS-CoV-2.

According to a study published today from Spain, ducks, rats, mice, pigs and chickens had low or no susceptibility to infection with SARS-CoV-2 compared to humans.

On the other hand, if you have a pet ferret, be careful cuz ferrets, civets (does anyone keep a pet civet?), cats, and dogs can catch this virus.

That said, I haven’t seen any reports of humans catching this virus from a pet animal, so I doubt this is much of a problem.

And don’t visit any mink farms, either.
