Next week, Moderna will ship only about three-quarters of the supply of vaccine that had been expected for that week, cutting Canada’s shipment by more than 50,000 doses.
But just the week before, Trudeau had said he’d spoken to Moderna’s CEO and that he had been assured that Moderna shipments to Canada would not be cut back.
So today, the tune has changed: Trudeau now ways that delays in the early days of vaccine manufacturing are “not unexpected”.
Well, yes they are if you tell people that they won’t happen.
So how much do you now believe Trudeau’s oft-repeated mantra that all Canadians who want to be vaccinated will be vaccinated by September?
I wouldn’t bet a sou on that timeline.
