I wish there was more we could do

This week, Dr. Bonnie Henry urged British Columbians that “For the next two weeks, I’m asking you to do more”.

But everyone agrees that the great majority of British Columbians are already doing all they can – these are the people who are smart enough to know that they don’t want to get sick with this virus and civic-minded enough that they don’t want anyone else to get sick with COVID-19.

But to reach that small minority of people who are not doing all they can – some of whom are even trying to disrupt those who are doing all they can – a lot of the new effort must, I suggest, come from governments that, at the minimum, should adjust their messages, and even more important, I think, adjust their unsuccessful strategies and tactics to get such individuals to adhere to the restrictions.
