Teva, the world’s largest generics drug manufacturer, is in talks with COVID-19 vaccine makers to co-produce some shots.
Which would only be great news for the world.
Teva is a huge company, it has terrific distribution expertise, it has manufacturing sites all over the world (maybe even some that the laggard Canadian procurement specialists might get a shot at procuring in stead of begging the Europeans for something produced in the EU), and it has already partnered with Pfizer in Israel in distributing the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine in that country.
If there’s on thing we’ve learned in this vaccine rollout process, it’s that the Israelis know how to mobilize, distribute and administer nearly anything than most of the rest of the world.
Let’s hope this partnership comes through soon.
