More data to make you more scared about COVID-19 and not just if you’re old

And this time the data comes from Canada.

In this analysis (published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal) of all admissions to hospital with COVID-19 in 7 Toronto-area hospitals , these researchers found that as expected, older people (over 75) accounted for the most deaths by far, but “adults under 50 accounted for 20% of all COVID-19 hospitalizations in the first wave of the pandemic” and “nearly 1 in 3 adults younger than 50 hospitalized with COVID-19 required intensive care, with nearly 1 in 10 requiring an unplanned readmission to hospital after discharge.”

That’s a severe illness.

No matter what age you are.

Wear your masks.
