Why don’t we know what we don’t know

When it comes to determining how many cases in Canada of COVID-19 can be linked to airplane travel, especially to international travel, it might interest you to know that we really have very little idea, as this excellent report outlines.

That’s because we don’t test nearly enough.

And we are way too polite, the usual Canadian malady, in that we don’t really enforce quarantines on travelers nearly as well as we should be doing if we really wanted to ensure that they can’t pass anything they are brewing to unsuspecting others.

Just another example of a way in which our federal government is letting us down during this pandemic.
