Why aren’t we doing what Washington State is doing?

Apparently, Seattle’s Lumen Field, that huge downtown stadium, will open this Saturday for mass vaccination clinics which will be run every 2-3 days.

And when running at peak capacity, officials say they may be able to do more than 20,000 vaccinations a day, although they will start smaller to work the kinks out (know anyone else who should have thought of working out the kinks before charging ahead?) at around 5,000 doses a day.

Here in Vancouver, we have the parks and stadia – BC Place and the PNE, as starters – where a well-organized clinic could see thousands of people a day stream through.

Why aren’t we doing that?

If we have the vaccines on hand, what are we saving them for?
