A headline that’s just plain wrong

The headline for a study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, which was previewed on the web space, EurekAlert, was this: Risk of death for men 60% higher than for women in study of 28 countries.

But unless they’ve figured out how to let some women live forever, I’d say that the risk of death for all men and women is exactly the same, 100%.

My gender just gets there on average much sooner than the other.
