Even this startling news is unlikely to convince COVID-19 deniers

Here’s the (best word is) startling headline over a recent news release from the US CDC: US deaths normally change less than 2% each year; in 2020, they rose nearly 23%.

So it’s a real thing, this pandemic, and it’s killing a lot of people before their time.

Still, I am sure that not a single one of the (another best word here) sociopaths who argue (I’m not sure what they actually believe but they sure do like to be voluble about this, mostly, I think, because it stirs things up which is what sociopaths crave) that this coronavirus is no worse than a typical bad flu will change their pathetic tune as a result of seeing this news.
