A major news announcement from the UK government this week that everyone in England is soon to be offered free, twice-weekly coronavirus tests.
Which sounds like a plan that has only an upside to it.
And if England can do it, why can’t BC?
Sure, it’s costly but surely not nearly as costly as repeated lockdowns, partial or full.
And even if the tests are not full-proof, one can only imagine the anxiety-relief even a partially accurate test would offer the millions of people who aren’t sure of what to do: Is this a symptom? Should I go to school? Should I go to work? Should I isolate from my family? Should I coach the kids?
