Coffee is a health drink – part 453

Study after study after study after study has come to the same conclusion: There is very little downside from drinking reasonable amounts of coffee regularly, yes, even in people with heart disease (the only common exception is for pregnant women, and for them, probably only early in their pregnancies).

And lots of very possible upsides to drinking a few cups of coffee every day.

Like this new one in which researchers writing in the British Medical Journal claim that “increased coffee consumption may be associated with a reduced risk of prostate cancer”.

So, bottom line: Ignore the coffee police: Coffee is the only health drink known to us.
