I didn’t think it had been this bad

An international study led by Goethe University in Frankfurt that looked at potential physical and emotional consequences of the pandemic has concluded that during the first lockdown (way back in pre-history nearly, that is, in 2020) people were an astounding 40 % less active than they had been pre-pandemic.

As well, the number of people “at potential risk for depression” tripled during that period.

If true, and it it didn’t reverse after that first lockdown, this will clearly have inevitable severe consequences in future years.

Look, easy bottom line: Now that things have improved to a great extent, the most important thig going forward is that we again pay special attention to our physical and emotional needs: The same-old, same-old but here-again of moving more, sitting less, getting enough good-quality sleep, and attending to our emotional well-being.
