Another warning to sit less and . . . well, you know

Especially if you have high blood pressure or abnormal cholesterol levels.

So this warning – to sit less and move more – is, according to the American Heart Association’s “scientific statement” which has just been published in journal Hypertension, “the optimal first treatment choice for reducing mild to moderately elevated blood pressure and blood cholesterol in otherwise healthy adults”.

Not drugs, in other words, which is something that you would expect American doctors to push as first choice for nearly everything, but rather a treatment modality that you can – and should – do for yourself.

Good advice, and like nearly all good advice, it costs you nothing to try it.
