The Vancouver Sun reports that “(s)tarting Sept. 13, British Columbians, 12 years and older, will need to have at least one dose of vaccine to enter certain social, recreational and discretionary events and businesses, and by Oct. 24, only fully vaccinated people will be permitted entry into those settings.”

Will it convince many recalcitrant young people – the vast majority of unvaccinated in this province – to finally get vaccinated?

Well, even if it doesn’t, there’s no downside to a vaccine passport.

And it will certainly make the rest of us just a bit more confident in some settings than we would have been without a vaccine passport.

Good on the government.

But shoulda happened weeks ago.
