If you cycle lots . . .

Great – it’s good for you, good for the planet.

But you have to be careful, especially since way way way too many drivers are still not bicycle-aware.

A new study underlines one of the risks for cycling, the one to the back.

In this study that compared the rate of back injuries among many sports, the researchers determined that cycling was the most common cause of significant back injury from a sporting activity, with skiing and snowboarding next.

Not surprising, I think, but still worth remembering for all cyclists, especially since so many more people cycle than participate in the other sports on the long list of ones that can cause back injuries.
